Oasis Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does Oasis work?

Oasis Moisturizing Mouthwash and Mouth Spray were developed to help manage the symptoms of a dry mouth. Each product is formulated with a unique combination of ingredients, known as Tri-Hydra Technology™, that moisturize the mouth, lock in moisture and help protect the mouth from dryness. Oasis is alcohol and sugar free with a pleasing mild mint flavor that helps to freshen breath. In addition, Oasis can leave the mouth feeling moist for up to two hours.

2. How to use: Do I swallow the Oasis? Do I spit it out? Do is swish it around in mouth? Or do I rinse my mouth out right after using Oasis?

Moisturizing Mouthwash Directions: Rinse for 30 seconds with one ounce of mouthwash first thing in the morning and before going to bed or as needed. Do not swallow. Use as part of an effective oral hygiene program.

Moisturizing Mouth Spray Directions: Use as required up to a maximum of 30 times or 60 sprays a day. Children and adults 2 years and older:

- hold bottle upright
- spray 1 – 2 times into the affected areas of your mouth
- do not rinse out

The Oasis Mouth Spray comes out of the bottle in a soft stream, not a mist, due to the unique moisturizing formula.

3. Why do you warn to consult a Doctor if a sore throat persists? Will Oasis cause a sore throat?

The sore throat warning is part of the mandatory labelling the FDA requires on OTC monographed oral demulcent drugs. The same warning can for example be found on throat lozenges eg. Luddens. Since a sore throat may be an indication of some other problem, it is recommended that you consult a doctor.

11. How does Oasis compare to competitive products?

Oasis is the only dry mouth product to contain the Tri-Hydra™ technology which is specially designed to provide long lasting, comfortable management of dry mouth symptoms. Competitor products may be built around single polymer systems. This leads to them either being thin solutions that are rapidly cleared from the mouth, leading to little relief, or thick products that are uncomfortable to use. Oasis® has the Tri-Hydra™ technology which is designed to adjust to the conditions in the mouth to give long lasting symptomatic management in a pleasant to use formulation.

12. Is the Oasis spray supposed to come out of the bottle in a stream or should it be more of a spray throughout the mouth?

The Oasis Mouth Spray comes out of the bottle in a soft stream, not a mist, due to the unique moisturizing formula.
